On 16 March 2023, the Musée cantonal de design et d'arts appliqués contemporains (MUDAC) in Lausanne hosted the launch of the book Le Cèdre. Jean Tschumi 1951-1956, in the presence of its authors, Giulia Marino and Franz Graf, as well as historian and professor Jacques Gubler and architect Bernard Tschumi.
Published in December 2022 by Infolio, this first monograph devoted to the headquarters of the Mutuelle vaudoise insurance company pays tribute to the work of Jean Tschumi, a key figure in twentieth-century architecture.
Le Cèdre was received with international acclaim upon its inauguration, going on to serve as a model for corporate architecture in Switzerland and throughout Europe. Its success earned Tschumi the task of designing the Nestlé headquarters in Vevey, where he reproduced many of the features appearing in his first masterpiece. Ahead of the restoration work, the book was an opportunity to retrace the building's material history, including its spectacular colour scheme, which had faded over the years.
